| Description: | The Information Services department at DePauw is seeking an energetic and creative IT Systems Analyst to support the University�s Finance and Human Resources software and data systems (currently based on Oracle E-Business Suite). The Systems Analyst will provide cross-functional user support and training and will serve as a technical liaison between Information Services and the Office of Finance and Administration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies and will develop a deep domain expertise in finance and human resource systems in a higher education setting. |
| Duties: | � Evaluation, analysis, and maintenance of Finance and HR systems;
� Supporting standardized and ad hoc reporting needs of Finance and HR;
� Close interaction with Finance and HR staff to determine project and reporting priorities;
� User and technical support for Finance and HR applications, including training in the use of related information systems;
� Working with Finance and HR personnel to analyze and improve departmental system practices and procedures;
� Creation and execution of queries to audit financial data as deemed appropriate;
� Timely troubleshooting and resolution of production problems;
� Active participation with the Administrative Information Systems team, including staff meetings, development activities, and project work;
� Fostering communication between Information Services and the Office of Finance and Administration;
� Other related duties as needed. |
| Qualifications: | � Associate�s degree in accounting, business, computer science, or related field preferred;
� Strong knowledge of accounting and finance;
� Experience working with relational database management systems;
� Working knowledge of SQL, as well as the ability to modify and troubleshoot SQL statements;
� Ability to develop specialized reports in a timely and accurate manner;
� Prior work experience in a higher education setting (preferred);
� Previous work experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (a big plus);
� Ability to define and analyze business requirements and functional systems design;
� Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
� Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office product suite;
� Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting;
� Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. |
