Associate Director of Annual Giving

Description:The Associate Director of Annual Giving will be principally charged with facilitating the Tiger Club to support athletics fundraising and with managing all aspects of the Faculty & Staff Campaign. Additionally, the Associate Director of Annual Giving will serve as the staff liaison for one or more classes celebrating a reunion. Some evenings and weekends are required in addition to some travel.

Duties:
  • Work closely with the Athletic Director, coaches and administration to oversee a successful Tiger Club program that supports the needs of the athletics department through the solicitation of annual gifts from alumni, parents and friends.
  • Recruit and manage a strong base of faculty, staff and retiree volunteers in order to execute DePauw's annual Faculty & Staff Campaign.
  • Travel from campus, as needed, to conduct a minimum of 50 solicitations annually and recruit volunteer leaders for assigned programs.
  • Manage no more than three reunion classes by recruiting key leaders, establishing fundraising and attendance goals and driving the solicitation and communications plan to ensure those goals are reached.
  • Participate in a collaborative process in the strategic planning for the overall Annual Giving program.
  • Utilize the Millennium system in the application of data for planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluating program results against stated goals and objectives.
  • Attend and staff several key on-campus events annually, including Old Gold Weekend, Alumni Reunion Weekend, Healthcare & Legal Professionals Weekend, and various other lectures and activities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take in new challenges and opportunities as they arise, or are assigned.
  • Develop and fulfill annual professional development plans.
  • Exhibit the highest principals of ethical standards and team work.


  • Qualifications:
  • This position requires a minimum of two years of progressive development experience with some experience managing programs.
  • Qualified candidate will posses clear and persuasive written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate and build relationships with volunteers and internal partners within the University's development and alumni engagement team and across the University.
  • A baccalaureate degree is required as is a strong understanding of the mission of private, liberal ares institutions.
  • This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving and functions as part of the annual giving team. This is a full-time, salaried position,offering a competitive salary and full benefits.
